ABOUT ME AND MYSELF

At this point, you might be wondering just who this guy is? Well, I’ll tell ya.

My name is Jaden Zotigh. I was born at a pretty young age in Chicago, Illinois. Due to the dangers of Chicago, I wasn’t much of an outdoorsy kid, which resulted in me staying inside pretty much all day, everyday. Seems like I have always had a love for movies and shows for as far back as I can even begin to remember. I watched everything there was to watch from rom-coms to slasher films to action films to musicals! I loved it!

In 2016 I moved half-way across the country to California! In California, I decided to try to persue my dream of starring in movies by joining theatre. With a just a single audition as an outsider who knew nobody in the entire school, I landed the role of The Mad Hatter in my very first play ever, Alice in Wonderland.

This was the first of over 6 plays I would star in.

While working on these plays, I began to wonder if there was any other types of plays we could be working on? Less princess and more comical! That's when the idea hit me that I know exactly how stories work, and I could write my own play. I talked to my theatre teacher, my favorite writing teacher and my principal and had a full set plan to write a play we could perform at my high school. Over the course of the next 4 months, I wrote my first full play, Ricky's in the Bathroom, while still in High School.

The thing was, even though that 70 page play was done, I wasn't. This was the start of what would soon be a file of mine I called 22nd and Writers Block Avenue. This was where all my stories started, whether it was 20 pages long, or a single bullet point of an idea, this document held all my work in it. I eventually broke some of these stories out of 22nd and into their own files where they were eventually completed and ready to be filmed, or read.

Here we are now. I am a barista working 2 jobs to make ends meet, but every chance I get of free time, I'm at my computer slamming away at the keyboard, generating thought after thought, idea after idea, and story after story.

My arsenal of work contains millions of drafts trapped in 22nd and Writers Block Avenue, several completed scripts, 3 plays, one full book, a comic book, and the rough draft of an animated TV show.

I'm not sure where this is all leading to yet, but I know that it's either not begun yet, or it's just beginning because I can assure you, I'm no where near done yet.
